Ball python photo session...and new snakes.

My snake collection consists mostly of colubrids. I have kept one albino female for the last year so my kids could have something a little more relaxed to handle. An acquaintance wanted to get rid of their pet snakes so they gave me two more. Guess I keep ball pythons now. Just thought I would share some photos.

This is Lemon Meringue (as named by my oldest daughter). Nice high contrast female. I still recommend ball pythons from someone that wants to get kids involved with snakes.

These two are the "rehomes" that I took in. Both females. The pied was a little underweight when I got it two weeks ago but that is changing rapidly. The albino had some retained shed when she came too, so pardon.

Those sure are nice freebies, congrats!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Wouldn't mind but I don't have a black background to use. Funny thing is that most of the snakes I keep are kingsnakes. King snake folks seem to use rock/leaves/grass, etc. as the standard background instead of the standard white or black that ball python guys use. All I got is rock slabs to snap pictures on...ha ha. I have been looking for a really dark slab of rock though...maybe a rough black granite would be good.

Yeah , anything to show contrast . 20 of my snakes are bright colours or albino and are all kept on dark coloured orchid bark .
