What a gorgeous tail, Congrats!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

The TRUE Red Tail boa.
Very nice, and a nice size. Typically they are one of the largest boas when they are older and mature.
Congrats!!
I don't see many of the true red tails here.
Keep the updates and photos coming.

Thanks all, she is super slow grown, its crazy how much smaller she is than my 2013 BCI female that honestly probably could breed this year but waiting one more season.
I will hopefully have a 2016 just born BF for her soon. We'll see.

Re: Finally got a nice BCC!
Sounds like my girl, very slowly grown, but she's also not a true red tail. My girl is so small and is supposedly 4 years old, probably just smaller than this gal.

True Red Tails mature at a much slower rate than BCI.
A 2 year old female BCI from the mainland will likely be larger than a 4 year old female BCC.
The digestive system of BCC is usually more fragile early on and requires smaller prey less often.
There is no reason that this Guyana boa won't top out at a very nice size and be at least as large or larger than a BCI at 8-12 years old.
The BCC are really the pinnacle of boas IMO. I have a BCI that exhibits traits of both BCC and BCI because of his locality, but I still believe anybody that owns and has some basic locality data on their true red tail, has something a bit unique.
I love your boa!
