Safe to freeze

Quick question.
I got a new rack and moved my breeders into it. I had one die on me, I think from stress. Is it safe to freeze it and make it a feeder after a few days? It couldn't have been more than 5 hours ago that it died tops.

That thing already started to decompose. I wouldn't offer it to my snakes.

When you freeze feeders it's immediately not hours later when the decomposition process already started.

The only time any of my snakes have regurged was when my ex- rat breeder gave me a dead rat. He said that the rat had just died of old age and that it was safe to feed.
Well, my Coastal Carpet, Lizzy did not agree. That was one rank regurge.

how long had it been dead? I wouldn't freeze it unless it was still fresh and warm, otherwise toss it out for the coyotes.


if you was on a desert island stranded would you eat it after it had been dead for X long? well maybe not a rat but a hog? or even leftovers that have sat out all night? if you think its sketchy don't do it, rats aint that much money just go buy another adult of the same sex.
