    Feeler for automatic Humidity adjustment

Ok, so here's the deal. My g/f and I were talking the other day, and I'm sure others may have the same problem we do, trying to keep the humidity at a decent level.

What I am thinking about is making something VERY similar to the temperature units, that will kick on when humidity falls below X(depending on what you set), and then turn off when that humidity is met.

I am thinking of using the ultrasonic foggers as the humidity source. Would you guys be interested in something like this? I am unsure of price right at this point, but I would figure about 20-30 plus fogger.

Let me know if you want me to explore this option.

they are called humidistats and have been used in hvac for years. you can get them in 24 volt or 120volt, 240volt. for a digital quality one you're looking at spending some bucks. the analog ones are +/- 5-10%!!! you can manually spray just as easy. proper humidity can be easily done with the proper setup and a few squirts of water. just my thoughts.

the whole "your looking at spending some bucks" is the whole reason we even came up with an idea like that. not to mention i think that it would be easier expecially if you have a glass tank like we do to keep the humidity at the right level. but that is fine if no one is interested in them then i guess we will just build some for our own snakes ... but if you are (you few that are) just let us know.

I would definately buy one. Sign me up for the first batch please!

I have been looking for something like this for a while, but can't find anything suitable for a viv.

I'll pay in advance if it will help with design and prototypes
