Does anyone know what the average diameter of an adult Lampropeltis Pyromelana (Az. Mt. Kingsnake)?

My Az. mt. kingsnake is close to 2 yrs. old and about 2 ft. long, but only about the diameter of a "AA" battery. I've never seen another adult except in photos, so I'm curious if mine is an appropriate size for his age.

I dont have any experience w/ az. mt. kingsnakes but As long as you dont see ribs, the kingsnake should be ok. Does it eat regurally and have normal feces?

He gets 2 large pinks or one fuzzy every week and poops normally. No ribs showing, everything seems fine, just don't know size he should be. Thanks for the info.

Pyros are slow-growing and thin-bodied compared to other Kingsnakes. They will reach a maximum size of around 3 feet long, or smaller depending on the locale/subspecies. It sounds like your Pyro is just fine.

Thanks for the info. I have a great book called "Mountain Kings" by Brian Hubbs (signed first edition) from Tricolor Books, but did not notice anything on diameter. Subspecies is L.P.Pyromelana.

P.S., by the way, my bearded dragon's name is Beardo........
