Bred a Lesser to a Pastel and ended up with stunning BPs, other genetics at play?
So, it was brought to my attention over in the pictures thread that there might, or probably is more going on with the genetics of my snakes. I hadn't even realized we had this subforum over here, guess I'll take the discussion over here about any other genetics going on.
First I'll show you the parents, the mother is in the blue stage of shedding, so forgive the slight tinge of shedding.
Him (Known Lesser)
Her (Labeled as a Pastel. Currently in blue and highly uncooperative)
And now the babies:
Group:
Holy Smokes what are these two:
Lessers (One is in shed)
Maybe a Lesser?
The Twins- What are they Lessers? Lesser Pastels?
And finally the normal, who is really nice and has a lot of pattern fade, but is in shed, after being blue
Ball Pythons 1.1 Lesser, Pastel
1.0 Lesser Pastel, 0.0.7 mixed babies

Photos in shed are not really of any help as they do not show true colors same as hatchlings before a couple sheds.
They can change so much through out their lives.

That "normal" sure looks different... maybe it's just me, but it's pattern looks almost like a mojaves with all the split and floating alien heads, but with wild type coloration. So interesting!

love those lessers with the nearly full stripes beautiful noodles
Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.

Re: Bred a Lesser to a Pastel and ended up with stunning BPs, other genetics at play?
The two that are clearly lesser pastels are being kept to breed in a few years, in hopes that I can get more with that stripe/crown the one has. The two lessers are going to my roommate and his girlfriend. The twins and the other questionable one are going to be held for a while until they get bigger and show their stuff then they and the normal are probably going to people locally who want free snakes (after I'm sure the new owners can properly house them)
Alternatively those 3 that I'm really unsure about may be traded to get some more genetics in my collection.
