    A Dizzy little boy

We have a new addition to our family. This little guy is a spinner blast named Dizzy. He's a very derpy baby. I absolutely fell in love with him and took him home from the most recent show we helped vend. Dizzy had a lot of people look at him, and was almost purchased by a family who said they intended to house him in a screen top tank with another adult male. This little guy is a whopping 32g, and I am vehemently against cohabbing snakes unless pairing for breeding. Knowing that this little dude has some pretty harsh neuro, I waited for the family to walk away, spoke with the breeder I work for, and purchased him myself. I saw the individuals that looked at this little boy, and knew the odds of him finding a home with proper care and consideration for his condition would be slim. Now he's living happily in a modified 10 gallon with good temps and solid humidity. As with all of my babies, 3 out of the 4 walls have been blacked out to offer a more secure feel. He's been with us 24 hours and has already eaten a f/t fuzzy. It took some convincing, but I finally got him to use a hide and act like a typical BP. Hes pretty inquisitive and fearless for a hatchling. I love this derpy little sweetheart. I'm curious to see if his neuro gets better or worse with age. I'm hopeful that he'll improve as he puts on some size. Either way, little Dizzy has a long and pampered life ahead of him

All cozy in his hide, digesting his meal. Once he has some more time to settle in, I'll take some more photos of his cute little self.

    Re: A Dizzy little boy

Dizzy is all finished up digesting his first meal with us. He's so unbelievably tiny! I had him out for a few minutes yesterday and took some more photos of the little guy. He can feel the vibrations when I walk into the reptile room and peeks out of his hide. When he sees movement his little head shakes. He really got hit hard with the derpiness of the spider gene. Thankfully it doesn't seem to impact his quality of life much. He eats great so far, and seems to be adjusting well.

Bear in mind, I have small hands. And he fits so snuggly!

This little face is too cute

    Re: A Dizzy little boy

He's a good little dude. Not a lot of issues. He isn't the strongest snake, but he's young so he might get some more muscle tone. He had an issue with constipation. I'm hoping it's just a one and done situation. A soak in some hot water and a tail massage cleared the issue right up. He had some rock hard urates, but what I found strange was all of the green liquid he pushed out. I don't really have a good explanation for that. Hopefully he digests this meal and sends it on its way like he should!

    Re: A Dizzy little boy

Little Dizzy has gone blue that didn't stop him from chowing down a hopper, though. His intestinal issues have worked themselves out and the mystery excrement has been identified. This guy was fresh out of the egg when he was handed off to the breeder I work for. The guy who bred him must not have liked how bad his neuro was (it's not like wobble is common with the spider gene or anything..). So my little sweetie was still working the yolk through his system. He's a fantastic eater for a ball python, especially a hatchling BP. I can't wait to see this boy's new outfit!

    Re: A Dizzy little boy

Dizzy just weighed in at 89 grams the bigger he gets, the less his neuro seems to effect him, which is great!
