    Re: Our new ATB Athena

AbsoluteApril that is awesome! I have never seen that before but I will definitely be trying it. We use a lot of PCV perches for the carpets and now the ATB and I love that look. Thank you for that. I see you have a C clamp on the bottom holding the PCV. I assume once it's hot you grab the top with vice grips and then twist?

The clamp was simply to hold the pvc upright to make it easier for myself, you can hold the ends and twist with your hands, it doesn't get super hot.
edit to add - you can see I usually left the very tips alone (still white) which helps as well and ensures they sit in the caps correctly

AbsoluteApril - Ok, that sounds good. I wasn't sure exactly how it works. I will be finding out soon though. Thank you for the idea and insight. Thank you Ziggy and Fraido she is beautiful for sure. She is pretty awesome. She took a f/t pinky last night for the first time without hesitation. She was on live before we got her. Here is a pic of her eating and her final enclosure set up.

    Re: Our new ATB Athena

So we have had Athena for 3 weeks so far. She settled in very well and has had two meals with us so far. She has a typical boa feeding response and does not hesitate when she smells food. She is very docile and will not even defensively strike unless there is fast movement. We had her outside today for a quick photo shoot so I thought I would share. We also discovered that she has a multi colored tongue which I find awesome.
