    Re: ?

With ball pythons, hunger has very little to do with eating habits.

A stressed ball python will not eat even if it is hungry. A ball python that is not hungry may opportunistically consume as much food as it can and then fast for a long period of time.

IMO, it all depends on how the animal is conditioned to eat as well as the personality of the animal itself.

    Re: ?

ok i was just asking because one of my balls acts like it will eat all day long if i keep dropping them in and the other acts like after a while if he doesnt want it he wont eat it. can you tell me how many adult mice they should eat? i feed every week on mondays. my male is about 2.5 feet maybe 2 inches around my female is a little over 2 feet but like 2.5-3 inches around. she is the one that acts like if i keep feeding her shell eat them all. how many mice would it be safe to feed them, if you over feed them is there a way to tell. their scales arent steached at all so they look fine and they act fine, i just want to know these things so i know if i am underfeeding them. oh yeah they are both suppose to be about a year old. thanks again for helping me with my stupid questions

    Re: ?

If you had gram weights for your snakes, I could give you a bette idea of how much to feed them.

I have adult male "mousers" that get 1 large mouse a week and adult female "mousers" that get anywhere from 2 - 8 large mice depending on their weight.

    Re: ?

I make sure I weigh after every shed and record it in my records. I also take random weights and any empty weights (i.e. just pooped) and record them. When you weigh the bp is really just up to you.
