I went to Big Lots today, and saw the mother of all plastic bins. It's more than 40" long and at least a foot wide.. plus that less than $8.

So.. my mom bought me one today as an early Christmas present, and since my dad promised to help me build a rack, they say they'll get me some more for Christmas.

Thumbs up Re: Ooh.. I hit the Jackpot

I got an Iris bin, that is advertised as a christmas tree storage bin, that sounds like it is the same demensions as what you got. It is huge, mine has a green lid with red handle clamps. Does that sound right? I know Iris make massive bins, but the only time I ever saw one that size for sale was Chirstmas. I pounced on it since it is bigger than any of the rubbermaid or sterilite, and has the semi-see through box with an opaque lid. I love it and Kitty seems happier in it too. He can stretch out almost full lenght if he wants and has a lot of places to hide, since I could put more things in there than the other tub I had him in. It is great.

Yeah I have a ton of the ones with the green and red lids.. well most don't have the lid anymore, I'm using the tubs to make a rack.

Re: Ooh.. I hit the Jackpot

That sounds like my Iris tub, clear tub with green lid and red clips. It really is a decent-sized tub. I saw another X-Mas one at Big Lots today that is only $10, and was 39"x16"x9". That may be Amani's last tub I buy her, unless I buy one of the ginormous ones from Reptile Tubs. And if I have more tubs, well darnit, I guess I'll have to buy more reptiles... Such a horrible thing

Re: Ooh.. I hit the Jackpot

The tub I have is ABOUT 4 feet long, 20 inches deep and 18 inches tall from the top of the lid to the floor. I think is is comprable to the Reptile Tubs, and I didn't have to have it shipped

Where did you find that big ol' thing? I found two of mine at Target. I wish we had a Container Store around here...

Re: Ooh.. I hit the Jackpot

I currently have 21 of the 42" tubs and 20 or so smaller size tubs of the same make. I want to make my rack!
