    Talking How does he look?

I have had my pastel ball python for a couple months now and was wondering if he looks okay. He recently had a shed and that went okay. Please give me all the feedback you can and I will try to answer all the questions I can. He is about 15 inches and weighs 86 grams.

Pic would be good. It's hard to know how a snake is looking without them since they all have different growth patterns but with a pic it's easy to see skinny.

Are you feeding him a fuzzy mouse or a fuzzy rat? A fuzzy mouse would be way too small---if you want to feed mice a hopper mouse would be the right size for him. Between 8-12 grams is the proper size (10-15% of body weight). Fuzzy rats are about that size too. How much did he weigh when you got him? Is he gaining steadily (doesn't have to be much, just steady)?

A general rule of thumb is 10-15% of the snake's body weight per meal. For 86 grams (this honestly seems a bit small to me, if you've had him a couple months) his meals should be in the 8 - 12 gram range. This would be a small rat fuzzy or a mouse hopper. How often are you feeding?

Seriously though, post pictures of the little guy. The one in your original post isn't showing up.
