    Re: Our new carpet, Isabel.

Thank you everyone. Overall she settled in quicker than I expected but I did the best I could and it worked out. Now we have two more carpets and the boa to get settled in as well.

    Re: Our new carpet, Isabel.

I have not updated Isabel in a while so I thought I would post some recent pics of her. We have had her now for about 4 1/2 months and she is up to 274 grams as of today.

I love her! Is she still snippy or more tamed now?

    Re: Our new carpet, Isabel.

Thank you Ziggy and redshepherd! I can't believe how quick she is growing. I gave her her first chick today and she took it right down once she figured out where the head was and stopped trying to start at the wing lol. She definitely seems healthy and happy. You should absolutely get a female coastal Ziggy. Then again I'm not a good voice of reason She is ALOT calmer than she used to be for sure. 99% of the time I can handle her without any issues and she is very inquisitive and tame. However she does still have some attitude. The first day she sheds she does not like to be touched or she will nip. Also if she is happy on her jungle gym she will nip to let you know she does not want to leave her home. I say nip because the first bite seems to be a warning bite, she does not clamp down and it won't draw blood. However as I have learned if you continue to push the issue the next one will be much more serious lol. As with any snake they all have their own personality and once you learn to respect that they are absolute wonderful. The other two coastals have not even tried to bite me for any reason.

    She looks fantastic.

I've been looking and looking for possible additions here and carpets keep topping the list. I'm a die hard boa constrictor fan and also have a deep interest in dwarf/SD retics however carpets keep coming to the top.

You have winner there and I see more in the future for you.

    Thanks for the update.

FYI the grow long first so don't get too hung up on weight. They also can take huge meals without worry.

    Keep up the good work.

She looks great. I'm glad she calmed down for you. She has grown a lot as well. What's your feeding schedule?
