    Keeping Superworms

Yesterday, I took a trip to the local reptile store and ended up buying super worms for $7/100. They put them in a bag with some egg crate and sent me on my way. I was told to line a tub with oatmeal and that would be it. This is how they're being kept currently..

Am I supposed to leave the egg crate in there? I took it out because they literally ate a hole through it.

All you'll ever need to know about supers this site is where I went for all my setup guidance.

If you just are buying worms rather than intending to breed them, I'd recommend checking out www.lindasgonebuggie.com too. I've ordered a few times from her, very satisfied.

You also need to put something in there for them to get moisture. I usually use a carrot that's been cut in half the long way. You don't want it too moist, just that little will be enough.

I keep mine in a big critter keeper, I order 1000 at a time from amazon or ebay. I keep carrots or potatoes for moisture, it molds the bedding for me really fast so I keep them on plastic lids.
