FedEx delivered a big order today. Eight one-gallon bags of (what will be) Bio-active substrate, and the same amount of LDL drainage layer, over half a dozen plants (most of them were for me ), and another faux rock magnetic ledge that holds a four inch pot.
The substrate may actually go in another viv - I haven't decided yet.
Fiddled around a bit for where to put the ledge, and came to the conclusion that you can not possibly have too many of these, and that this viv would look PERFECT if I had just ONE more. This new one makes five.
I put this one low, in the left hand corner right at the front. I like how it brings the greenery to the foreground. The residing potos spills down over the substrate. That is the dimmest corner of the viv, but it's potos, after all, and I have a few others that can be switched in and out. Only one 9 watt Jungle Dawn lights the whole thing. I don't think Starbuck would appreciate too much light, and the slanted dappeled rays give a pretty woodland impression (or, maybe I just have a strong imagination...)
