Getting a new blood Python
I'm thinking of getting a blood Python and been doing alot of research.
Any advice on care? Etc?

Keep your temps cooler-low 80s, they aren't too happy hot. They are talkers so expect some huffing and hissing during handling, they prefer to just kind of hang out on the floor or in your lap, not real fast moving. Babies can be fairly jumpy and scared so you might get nipped a little at first, with normal handling they usually calm down well though. They will hold up waste for many many months, that's normal, slow metabolism so don't feed frequent or overly large meals. Generally pretty willing feeders, they do need good humidity levels so using a tub or pvc cage and heat panels or tape is best for a setup along with a big water dish and I mist daily during shedding. If you want a blood with a really red coloration buy from a breeder that can show you the parents. Or an adult if you are comfortable with that.

Know it's not my post but, the low 80's? Is that the hotspot? Sorry for hijacking but, I've been very interested in blood pythons. I just need the space, lol!

My room stays around 79-83 and I provide my bloods with a warm spot of 85. They hardly ever use it.
Op, they really are vocal as stated above. Mine huff, puff, and hiss at everything. When they are young they can be nippy. I think I have some pics of a few tags in my gallery. The bites are nothing but they do have some sharp teeth that will make you bleed a bit. Just stick to handling them and they will settle down fine and turn into huffy puffy puppy dogs. My big girl will lay with you all day if you let her.

Looks like a normal to me. Do you know the species? I am not 100% up on all the different species but, she looks like a classic blood (python brongersmai) to me.
