I don't know what a jumpstart tstat is but if it the two uth's are not over the rating and are identical it can be done. Again the uth's can not be over the tstats rating and the mats have to be the same.

i think u got the idea mixed around - it’s 2 UTH’s plugged into a powerstrip and then the powerstrip plugged into a thermostat.

tho it’s not the best set-up, it will work as long as the UTH are the same size/wattage and brand. just keep in mind that the Hyrdofarm Jumpstart still has 1 probe, so u will be measuring the temp of 1 UTH. i’m assuming u will be using the second UTH for a different tank/tub? so the second UTH will turn on/off per the temp of the first UTH with the probe. u will need to check the temps of the second UTH more often to make sure it's ideal.

and as KMG said, make sure both UTH's don't surpass the wattage limit/fail safe of the thermostat u have.

    Re: Tstat question

Yup I definitely meant two UTHs. Both are the same and the jumpstart is just a rebranded hydrofarm. I am checking the temps of both heat pads with additional probe thermometers, I just wanted to see if anyone else had done this. Honestly I am going to get beat tape pretty soon in lieu of the Uth pads... They just take up a lot of space and are kind of unsightly.

You could if both UTH are identical in size and wattage however cheap power strip have also been known to be fire hazard and has far as the T-Stat you are mentioning well it is a cheap brand prone to failure (and when they fail they fail wide open).

IMO you are asking for trouble, save money and buy a reliable thermostat like the Herpstat 2, in the end you will have piece of mind and it will actually will be cheaper (I have ever seen anything done by hydro farm lasting more than a year or 2, I have some herpstat that are 10 years old)

    So yeah it's possible.

    Re: Tstat question

I've been using hydrofarm t-stats for the last 3-4 years and haven't had a single issue with them but I am switching to the herpstat 4 or the soon to be released herpstat 6. I know the herpstats have more features but my reasons for switching are purely for convenience and aesthetics. I've got 4 AP cages now and have to order 2 more later this year. I'd rather have 1 t-stat than 6.
