Dark substrate?

I currently use aspen but it's pretty ugly in my natural looking habitat and doesn't retain humidity very well (I have a heat lamp to raise the ambiant). What dark substrate should I use? I prefer the look of the large chunks substrate but I don't know what it is and I'm not sure if it's good for the humidity. Any recommendations and perhaps pics of what you use?

I use cypress a lot. I go back and forth between that, aspen, and paper towels. The cypress tends to hold moisture well. I know some folks use coconut fiber. Can't speak to that personally though

I use the forest floor cypress bark. It's nice looking and holds humidity great without being soaked. Also, it tends to be well sorted, I don't often find huge pieces of wood or anything and it's not as fine/dusty as coco fiber.

I personally use coconut husk. It holds moisture very well (without molding) and looks great.
