Them's are awesome snakes. I hope you know what you're in for though.. you say it's your first snake. Certainly not the best choice. But, I wish you the best of luck.

Re: I bought yesterday my first albino burmese

he probly does mean first burm and judt worded it wrong. and even if it is his first snake, he could have tons of experiance with big burms and other big snakes that we dont know about. just because you never owned a snake, doesnt neccasarily mean you dont have the experiance. but if it is your first snake, and you dont have experiance, wow, goodluck

That is a very pretty snake &, as everyone else has said, good luck!
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

Re: I bought yesterday my first albino burmese

Yeah I'm probably just being picky. The other day someone bought a baby green anaconda, and as they were walking out they asked 'oh.. is it venomous? AHH! Idiot! You buy a GREEN ANACONDA and you don't even know if it's venomous or not??!

Daily I am surrounded by people such as that, so I'm a bit wary of people saying they buy a burm at their first snake. I apologize if I offended anyone.

Re: I bought yesterday my first albino burmese

I agree Shelby, definately not a good choice for a first snake. Just food for thought, please don't send the snake packing when he/she gets in upwards of 15-18ft(4-5meters). Burmese pythons and other large snakes require alot of knowledge that the average keeper doesn't get to experience beforehand. I wish you an enormous amount of luck in caring for such a large species of snake.

Re: I bought yesterday my first albino burmese

Are you ready for this? (insert cheesy techno music here)

Burms are a huge commitment...size-wise and financially. They can be expensive to house and feed properly.

The above snake is now an 18.5', 16 year old female.
