Amazon tree boa question

That's a pic I found online. Im sure it came from a breeder. When they are that small they are extremely delicate. This is why it is hard to find a youngster that has been sexed. Any good breeder will not attempt such an act because they are so delicate that young and the odds are good on injuring them.

I have several Amazon tree boas, and I have really enjoyed keeping them! They are very easy to care for and make beautiful display snakes! All of mine can be handled without biting if I first take them out of their cages with a snake hook and then hold them in my hands. They are actually pretty calm, and I don't find them flighty at all. I think they require intermediate snake keeping skills, and I highly recommend them if you want a nice display animal!

Here are photos of my two favorites. They are about to become parents, and I can't wait!

Interesting thread. Are bp considered the snakes that will least likely bite people? If not what is?

I don't know that I would say that about BP's. Plenty of owners here have been tagged. There is even a thread with a poll about it.

The garden ones are not as colorful, but some of them are quite pretty and can produce colorful offspring if you breed them. Might be good to take in the free one to see if you like their temperament and such.....

Yeah I noticed there grey etc
I'm going to get it today.
Hopefully things go good because those arboreal snakes look beautiful and I think itd be a snake I could keep as display.
