Hey, ever since seeing the Lemony Snicket movie with "Petunia" Uncly Montys albino nelsons milksnake in it, my mom has wanted one. Thats what she wants for christmas. She used to have 2 red tail boas, so she knows how to ake care of some snakes. But anyways, she wants one really bad, and I intend to get her one. I was wondering if anyone could tell me these things:
How much they normally cost (I have 100$ on hand right now)

If they have a good temperment

Please post pictures if you have any

Please post any good breeders you know of

What size tank would you recommend starting out with (5, 10, 20 gal.)

    Thanks so much!

I just went to www.vmsherp.com and looked at them. If I get an albino the total (SH included) will be $163.00

My mom just said that she would lend me the 63$ since I was willing to spend my christmas money on her present.

If anyone has any pictures or advice let me know.

P.S. I think we are going to name it Petunia. This is the one I am getting her. This photo is a picture of one of the for sale at www.vmsherp.com
I am putting it on hold right now at VMSherp.

A male named Petunia? Poor little guy... It's definately a pretty little snake, I was just thinking it might get a little confused. I'm not teasing or anything, just wondering.

Temperement...milksnakes are known for being very fast and they musk. Some of them are actually quite nice.

    I dont have any.

Clay Davenport should have some. http://www.arbreptiles.com/

When I researched milksnakes,I found that they are the same family and size as kingsnakes,so 30 gallon would do good.

Oh...oops....I edited my post like 4 times, we were gonna get a female but then they told us that they only sold males and breeding pairs, and not females alone, so we are getting a male, guess we wont name it petunia. We'll name it Olaf.

Ohh ok. Well that's a good name for a boy I love the colors on those little guys, very nice. Maybe later ya'll can get a female if you find another breeder that sells them. Then you can name her Petunia.

So was that movie good? I have been wanting to see it since it came out.

It was good, but I hated how that changed everything.

If you have read the book, it goes something like this:
They live with count olaf, he tries to marry violet, so they go to uncle monty.
They live with uncle monty, count olaf kills him, so they go to aunt josephine.
They live with Aunt Josephine, count olaf kills her, so they go to a new guardian.

But in the movie, it goes like this:
They live with count olaf, he tries to kill them with a train, so they go to uncle monty.
They live with Uncle Monty, but Olaf kills him, so they go to Aunt Josephine.
They live with Aunt Josephine, but Olaf kills her, so they go back to count olaf.
They live with count olaf, he tries to marry violet, but they catch him, the movie is over.

They added and took out so much stuff.

Maybe I should read the book first... I hate how they do that to movies when you know they could have left it just the way it was in the book and everyone could be happy...Ya know?
