Our new little Noodle~
Last week I got my husband a little ball python (he was so surprised I was willing to get it, even though I love snakes) and we decided to name him Noodle. Its taken a few days, but he's finally decided to come down off of the foliage and hang out in his hide and I am so excited that he's getting comfortable! Ignore the setup in the pictures, I've tweaked it a bit since then but it's been super gloomy outside and the lighting in my house sucks when there's no natural light so all pictures I've tried taking recently just reflect the rest of my apartment...
But here he is in all is adorable glory!
He's in a 40G tank (I know, way too big but it was half the price of everything else and we'd need it anyways when he's bigger) with black construction paper on 2 of the sides. There's a humid hide and a regular one, one on each side of the tank. He's got a nice piece of wood in there to rub on when he sheds and a bunch of foliage all over the walls of the tank. Temp. is 90 degrees on the hot side, 80 on the cool side, humidity is around 60% but is difficult to maintain (for now it's just misting constantly with a wet towel over half of the top, until I can purchase a more useful, less high-maintenance way to keep the humidity in). We're going to feed him tomorrow, if he'll take it and hopefully the humidity will be more consistent by the time he starts a shed.
(He just curls up in my hand but if my husband has him, he crawls all up and down his body.)
(I had gotten some new thermometers and a probe thing for the UTH but the mail guy left it in front of the building and I think someone stole it, so we're using the cheap pet store ones until I can get my other ones in)

Welcome to the forum.
Noodles looks great as well as your setup.
Congrats!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
