    Unhappy A (possibly?) stupid question....

Is the coloring around my ball pythons lower jaw normal? It's been that way for as long as I can remember but it seems to be more prominent than on other normal balls I've seen. I'm probably over-reacting but I want to make sure it's not due to rubbing or mouth rot or something awful. Photo below:

Doesn't look it [to me - and you've noted it's been there for a while; it would have progressed], but please don't quote me on that. And PS, if everyone thought their questions were stupid, nobody would learn.

EXACTLY..!! my question is what kind of substrate are you using, has he or she been trying to escape HEAVILY..Regarding the substrate if so then try and warm water rinse it off and see if that helps...

It's just his color, the same speckles around his heat pits. (No need to rinse water on him and stress him out haha)
