Market status?
What's going on with the bp market now a days? It seems like everything is crashing hard. It's so hard to sell animals now too. In the past I would post a couple ads here and on Craigslist and In a matter of a hour or two have a few inquires. Now I'm trying to sell and for two days nothing. What's going on??

I had a great few months so stuff is selling pretty well. I typically find that November and December are slow, especially from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. I think people have other priorities this time of year. I also find that things really pick up after January when people "recover" from the holidays.

Don't forget tax returns. Most people have extra money to spurge then. Right now most people are in save mode for Christmas presents and holiday traveling expenses and meals and such.

Depending on where you are some people really prefer to wait for warmer days to buy reptiles of any kind. So it might be a factor for your slow sales too.
Fall 2015 :
"I'll only get one" I said, cuddling a bp hatchling "See how it goes"
Two months later :
2 adults, 2 juveniles and 1 bci.
"Oops"
Next month :

I also find (and I am in no position to talk really) that it seems a lot of people (even as a hobby) are getting into breeding. When I first decided to do this, I heard of maybe three or four breeders here in Canada and as I delve deeper into the hobby, breeders are popping up everywhere. It's a bit unnerving actually a doubt is setting in. I have waited three years to start breeding and seems to get more and more crowded the more and more years I wait.
I agree with it being the holidays. Even I am in squirrel mode, saving what I can. Three kids and two sides of the family, it gets expensive. Buying another snake right now is not a top priority right now sadly.

Also keep in mind that EVERYONE is selling their 2015s right now, so the market is heavily saturated. Once they start to clear out, the holidays pass and tax returns start rolling it, they'll go hard and fast.

Re: Market status?
Any updates on how sales are going?

Sales should be picking up since people have their tax refunds rolling in (except for those of us who have to pay) and the weather is more conducive to shipping.

Ok... I don't think the market is getting any better. I see people here bumping ad threads from last year and still haven't sold any animals
