    Looking over our BP

Hey guys, so a little update on our Belle. She's doing really good, ate on Saturday, temps are 89-92 F on her hot side, 80-83 on her cool side, humidity is always around 55%. So, since we got all that out of the way we took her out for the first time to really take a close look at her. It seems to me that she almost has stuck shed or something akin on some parts of her. I've tagged a few pictures and was wondering what you guys thought? Her old owners simply said she shed 3 times in the 2 years they had her. Sorry for the fuss lately guys, just want to make sure shes fine.

has she shed for you yet? if not you may be surprised when she does that the color is WAY different. The last owners, how much do you know about them? 3 sheds in two years....that’s not right...at all. from the pictures you linked only the second one look like a layer of old skin may still be on (to me anyways). seems like you are really passionate about the health of the animal which is great! Going off your post i'd say she is doing just fine. Hopefully her first shed with you is a good one, if she does have sheds that have not come off having the correct husbandry will resolve that over time. Keep us posted especially the next time she sheds

She hasn't shed for us yet but we've only had her going on two weeks now. It did look like some of her old shed was still stuck on which was the cause of our post. But i'm afraid we don't know a super lot about the old owners. They told us that they got belle off of someone when she was two and that they didn't ask the breeder. She was also originally on live feed and then switched to F/T. She was clearly loved dearly but they didn't have the time for her with a new baby, a corn snake, two cats and a dog.

But that's why I am more nervous then I should be with her. 3 sheds didn't seem like much, and she also didn't have her temps regulated like I said in my first post here. Her heating pad was also a size too small. I've no doubt that they loved her and thought they were doing good. But I'm not sure how well they did take care of her. She's fed well and used to handling but, for example, when we went over there to get her the old owner took his corn snake out and instantly got bit cause he pulled her out too rough.

Hopefully her first shed with us will be good!

Really sounds to me that everything is fine. My guess; you will continue to manage the husbandry properly, she will shed and look stunning because multiple layers will come off =)

Do your best to identify when she is in 'blue' and the eyes cloud over, up the humidity for the next few day to 75-80 and Belle will look and feel great!

    oh don't be so cynical.

she looks fine and it sounds like your husbandry is on point. as others mentioned above, just make sure u bump up and maintain high humidity when she turns blue and eyes get milky and she will have a a nice shed. hopefully she can do it in one piece.
