This is "Metalbug" - my new Peruvian giant centipede. It should mature around 12" in length & is already capable of chowing on adult mice. I love this thing!

Wow sorry, but, that thing is creepy. I'd like to see it eat a mouse though!

I'm not a fan of centipedes since they're fast, and pack a nasty bite. Millipedes on the other hand, are awesome. It's weird.. my mom will let me have T's and scorps, but she has a problem with the millipedes.. they're vegetarian for heaven's sake!

I don't give him(?) mice very often - too much protein. Main diet is hissing roaches.

They basically chew a hole in the side of a rodent & eat the insides, leaving a bag of bones behind.

    Kinda creepy!

Does this insect have vemon? or does it kill the mouse a different way before eating?

i think some(most?)/all centipedes have venom and i think they paralyze(kill it?) it first and then they begin to it.
