Beautiful animals, sorry about the 1 loss, but the remaining look amazing, are you finding that they tolerate handling well without being stressed out like a bluey or are they more of a stand back and admire animal?

Even better than the blueys in my experience - limited to a northern some 20 years ago. I have yet to see any aggression from these guys whatsoever. When they first arrived they were wiggly little things that wanted nothing more than to get safely away. I've probably only handled half a dozen times in the last 5 months, scooping up whichever skink was available at the time, to do a quick once over. I've noticed with each successive exam they've been a bit less determined to escape. They seemed to be getting accustomed to me through sight and routine alone as I doubt I grabbed the same skink every time. When I took them out today they were completely chill. Some would just sit in my hand, others would casually walk up my arm, but all seem to have lost their fear of me completely. They are also much more comfortable up in the air with that prehensile tail so naturally make a better choice for handling in my opinion.

It's incredibly entertaining watching them slide around with that prehensile tail. Just set them up with plenty of climbing opportunities and enjoy the show! My favorite move is when a branch is too far for them to reach without relying entirely on their tail. They'll get as close as they can then just lift their feet and lower themselves by slowly slacking their anchored tail.

This is awesome, I would love to add one of these to my collection one day...my female IJ bluey loves being up high, she climbs up on my shoulder and wraps her tail around my neck, whereas my male sits down low and rarely climbs...

What kind of diet do you have them on at this point? I an wondering I they can thrive on the same diet that my blueys are on.

I do a mixture of extra lean ground turkey and chopped snails. I smash up a small slice of banana and blend it in as well as a healthy dose of calcium powder.

That is the base I use for my blueys, I add a little more meat, greens, and other fruits, same thing for the Tegu as well, plus the whole prey items she gets.

I get a feeling these guys forage a fair bit from the enclosure as well. I do have the obligatory isopods and springtails, which are probably small enough to escape notice - except maybe some of the adult isopods. I also have earwigs and roaches as part of my clean up crew as well as spiders that help keep the other bugs in check.

I was thinking about getting a bluey for a while and especially after you mentioning how docile they are compared to the blues I think I might have a new love interest lol.
