But their iridescence is GORGEOUS as well, oh my goodness.
Xenopeltidae - the Sunbeam may have the most iridescence. May not be the best for handling, however, they musk strongly.
Someone here keep one. They recently posted about it.

I'm not sure about the daytime iridescence of the "rainbow python," the Oenpelli, but it shines silver at night. Very protected, however. Not currently available.

I googled them, and wow that is iridescence right there. O: I like python head shapes though, but these guys are BEAUTIFUL.

My Dumeril's also has mild iridescence going on that shows up in an odd way in photos. I just took the photo last night.

Boelen's pythons though... also shiny, matte black with the craziest looking iridescence for their color.

    Gorgeous photo!!!

I didn't know the Dumerils did that. Our local pet store has one...

As for the Boelen, if I recall correctly, there is an interview on Herp Radio Network (Herp Nation Radio Network??) that mentions them. It was the episode on Repti-Links, and if memory serves, the interviewer breeds them. Might be worth looking up. There is also a Boelen forum that, at a glance at least, seems to be current. (I was very distracted by the Boelen for a few days a couple of months ago.)

    SNAKES:
Well, the realistic wishlist looks something like this: Mexican Black King, Jungle Jag Carpet, Green Tree Python
The years from now, maybe (never if I stay in MA) wishlist: Yellow Anaconda, Gaboon Viper, Blue Eyelash Viper. Boomslang

    OTHERS:
Maybe after I finish my snake wishlist: Blue Tongue Skink, Chinese Water Dragon, Mexican Alligator Lizard, Green Tree Frog, Dart Frogs, maybe a tortoise or turtle of some sort...
Maybe if the stars align properly: Dwarf Caiman

    Blood Pythons
    Bay of LA Rosy Boas
    Dumeril's Boa
Bloodred, Hypo, Albino, Anery, Snow, and Fire Cornsnakes
Red Phase and Tiger Western Hogs
    Burmese Pythons
    Retics
and of course Mojave, Fire, and Pinstripe BPs, just to name a few.

These are just the snakes that are widely available and within my budget. If money were no object the list would probably be endless.

Aside from more ball pythons, I'd really love to get a Russian rat snake! Others I have considered are western hognoses or sand boas.

    Herps in general if I could;
    Chinese water dragon
    Dwarf caimen
    Blue tongue skink

that being said I think I'd be perfectly happy with just ball pythons and a russian rat snake as far as herps go but who knows! :p

I've been wanting a GTP {sorong} a blood python black or albino, a brazilian rainbow boa or keltic boa which i can't afford. And that idea on a blue tegu is been growing in my mind. but mostly the green tree python.
