    !

That's repulsive. How could someone have so little pride as to allow that to be visible in a retail store? To say nothing of their care for animals..

    Think solid urine.
Its just concentrated uric acid as opposed to diluted liquid urine.
As animals that evolved not drinking a lot of water, having solid urine is an adaptation to conserve water.

I can only imagine that since a ball python consumes small mammals whole, which includes a large portion of fur, skin, bones, and other things that would never end up in our own digestive systems, it isn't surprising that they have such unusual excrement.

I am sure the OP will appreciate the answer 12 years later

As mentioned the so called white "poop" is in fact urate (a urine by product), poop well just looks like poop.

It is not an unusual excrement. Most snakes and lizards pass urates and feces.....actually I can not think of one that doesn't.....quite common.

Sorry....just had to get in on a thread resurrection.

    Re: white poop

I know this is old but I just noticed my snake's poo was completely well,... poop colored (dark brown). He usually has white bits but this time none at all. Should I be alarmed? It may sound silly but if he always pooped some white in the past and he's 12 years old, and it's all of a sudden only dark I thought it was odd.

I'm sure he will be doing Number 1 again before you know it. I wouldn't worry.
