Is this a burn, the beginning of scale rot, or just normal?
Hi guys, I've had this Enchi Lesser for about a week now and his belly is a pinkish/blue hue. I'm not sure whether its pre-shed, a burn, or the beginning of scale rot...or maybe I'm just being paranoid? The hot spot is 85 F and his cool side is 70 F. My thermostat went haywire so the hotspot reached maximum 100 F for around 7 hours (which increases my suspicion of a burn), but I wanted the input of others. Thank you so much!

I would say its just pre shed. I was worried about one of mine as i had never noticed it before and that turned out to be just shed.

Looks like may be pre shed. Keep a close eye on it and keep us posted.

Not seeing any signs of burn, or scale rot. I have to agree with the others looks like the very early stages of a shedding cycle, time to kick up your humidity if you need to.

Nothing wrong here. Looks like he might go into shed in a few days

My girls get VIBRANTLY pink when they're about to start a shed cycle, it's kind of crazy! Just make sure your heat and humidity is correct, and grab some nice pics once he sheds out

Also have any of you guys heard of the ENchi gene making the belly turn a hue of blue? The breeder apparently says that the stronger the expression of the gene the more visible the hue...but I've never seen or heard of the enchi gene doing that.

If anything at looks like everyone else said about shedding. A couple of mine get real pink on the belly when they start.
