Need some advice

My male Cali King has refused to eat the last 2 feedings. These guys are usually great eaters, and I'm accustomed to our BPs occasionally refusing food and/or going on a feeding strike, but it seems unusual for my kings. Has this happened to anyone before and do you have any advice?

(I'll preface this with the fact that it's been MANY MANY years since I've owned kings)

Totally normal for this time of year. Probably will refuse food or eat sporadically for the next 3 months. Is he cruising the cage a lot or just hiding?

Who was it that said "You can't fool mother nature?" .... Your snake knows what time it is! ...

He's hiding a lot which is also unusual. The female on the other hand is eating just fine--and is very active. I've read a ton on them, but still a little paronoid about him not eating.

Males are typically far more sensitive to "breeding season" than females .... Keep giving him fresh water and he'll be fine. I've read a ton too and also have a bunch of pratical experience raising and breeding kings.

These are our first two. They are only 4 mos. old so still very young. I change their water every other day, if not daily. Otherwise, he seems perfectly fine.

EDIT: Good to know though, thanks for the input, feel a bit better now.
