Ekans shed on my arm! And a fresh coat of paint :)

Had Ek out for a bit and I noticed she was turning her head all around funny...

Then I noticed her skin separating around her jaw!

She started wiggling out of her skim right there on the arm of the chair, and even used my arm for friction.

I put her in her enclosure to finish (humidity better in there), and half a hour later she has a new coat of paint!

Definitely the coolest thing I have seen since having a snake!

It was really, really neat! And I know the whole "snakes don't enjoy us" thing... but considering how snakes usually act when in shed (irritable, hiding, etc) it made me happy that Ekans obviously is at least really comfortable with me

I definitely think they have a sense that can associate us with safety and calmness
