Anybody have a banded spider
Hi I was wondering if anybody has a recessive banded spider ball python because I'd like some pictures if I can for comparison to the one I think maybe banded because 3 out of 7 babies I hatched seem to have the same kind of banding 2 normal and 1 spider any help would be greatly appreciated

If I'm not mistaken, the Genetic Banded gene is dominant, and the Spider gene is also dominant. Therefore, it would be impossible to have a recessive banded spider since both genes are dominant. The animals in question would either have it, or don't.

Incorrect, an animal may possess multiple dominant genes. See the WOBP for pics of a genetic banded spider.

so, now that my reading comprehension skills have returned, my question to the OP is what was the pairing? Is there both genetic stripe and spider genes?

I've gone through three years (2012-2014) of Corey Woods breeding records and he doesn't have a banded spider that I could find. I don't either (obviously). You may have a Worlds First on your hands.
I bred my Het Banded male (hold back CH from Africa) to a Pastel Spider and a Woma. And in breeder trade to a Dinker Normal and a Mojave. So I have, unborn, 50% Het Banded Pastel Spiders and 50% Het Banded Womas (and through trade 50% Het Banded Mojave). Unfortunately to date I have no females who are Banded, I have two 66% Het Banded females from this year.

Re: Anybody have a banded spider
The banding on them seems to be mid section or lower

The pairing was what I thought was a normal female to a normal spider but got a surprise
