Good Evening Everybody,
Today,at music period,we had to watch a movie about Japan Music. So they go on and on about the different intsruments and then they show a banjo-like thingy. They said that it was made of snakeskin and it looked to be a python skin(thats why i posted it in here). Then they said that they don't use snakeskin anymore and they started using dog skin or cat skin(weird?).Well, then some kid said "Thats sooo cruel! They need to go back to snakeskin!" "Dogs don't do anything to us,so why do they use them?Snakes are evil and mean!" :?

While I don't like the 'snakes are evil' comment I have no problem with using snake skin for things. It's beautiful, though I 'll say I prefer it on a live snake.

uneducated? maybe. maybe not. you have to realize that in america and most places dogs are purley a domestic pet often treated as a family member. where as snakes are wild animals, and few people keep them or think of them as pets. so the kid who more than likley has a dog must think, as do i, that killing one for skin is just as wrong as the murder of any human. (btw i like snakes too and wouldnt like to see them killed for skin either)
just my incoherent just got off working for 8 hours 2 cents.
