I found this pic on one of my photo galleries, from years ago, and I still have this awesome fish! Here's a pic of my big mama goldfish, Plumpy. She spawned some nice babies with another lionhead, a few months ago. Unlike traditional l-heads, she has no "mane" of fleshy skin around her head. I like her just the way she is though.
    Any other fishkeepers?

And here are two of our Oscars, Mr. Mouth and The White Thing. They are really fun to have and will eat right out of your hand. Mouth is about 14 inches long and WT is about ten.

Nice fish! Oscars are the best, my sister used to have one and he was so cool! In a few years I hope to have an Oscar, my sister has a large tank that she wants to give me in exchange for a smaller tank (I have about 5 million empty fish tanks, lol). Right now I have three fantails, a betta (in his own desktop tank) and, my absolute favorite, (don't tell the others) a dwarf puffer. The puffer is soooooo cute... I can't even stand it, lol. He moves around like those big fuzzy bees do, and he's not even an inch long. He lives on my desk and keeps me entertained when there's nothing interesting online. I'd like to set up a larger tank and keep a group of dwarves, but I can't find any place that sellls them. I got him from Petsmart, he was the only survivor of an entire shipment of the little guys. I'd post pics but I still can't upload for some reason... oh well, I love fish

    Fish hobby is the best!
We have a few tanks going as of now.
Here is a picture of one of the glass catfish from a school of six

The tank is a 45 gallon Tall with a glass back (notice the reflection in the picture). We keep a variety of tetras and one of my favorite fish families the Loaches (of course i never see them long enough to photograph them..loL. In the same forty five gallon we also grow many species of live plants rangeing from mosses to swords to ferns.
another one of my fav's is this Bolivian Ram:
Who also lives in the 45.
I do have a ten gallon hex on our kitchen counter with three mixed goldfish. The reason I call them mixed is they do not make the cut in the goldfish breed world (Gin, your lionhead is adorible!)

We also care for two large Pacu 10+ inches in a 75g

In that same tank is my pride and joy Laparanus Fasciatus. I will have to find a picture, but I just love him. He rules the pacu tank.
We also have a four betta fish in a variety of tanks.
One such tank is a 7 gallon bowfront on my other counter (the animal food prep counter) He lives with a school of fancy guppies (varied breeds)

He is my favorite with his white colouring.
Anyhow I have blabbed about fish enough.
    Thanks

Glass cat's are so neat. I've never owned any type of fish other than betta's, algae eater or gold fish.

For the longest time I didn't have a large fish tank (I sitll have the 1 gal's i was using for betta's until i gave up. (overnight mouth and fin rot..sigh).

I have a tank now, but Issa lives in it.

Rusty, your white betta is absolutely beautiful, i wish i had one of those colors. It almost looks like a light pink/light purple.

I used to have fish in the 30 gal Roxy is in but i got rid of them.I used to have guppies (that i bred) neon and glowlight tetras, rasbora hets, and for some reason i cant remember the other speices of fish i used to keep, it was a larger live bearing fish, they come in all colors......**trying to think***

My male betta Terror used to be in the thirty gal, but when one of my female guppies gave birth he ate/killed like 6 of the babies, i got really pissed becuase it took me a pretty long time to produce those babies, they were the great grand kids of my first pair of guppies and they were absolutely beautiful. They had awesome looking blue and yellow tails......**sigh** i almost killed that stupid betta, now he lives in a smaller two gallon bowl. And i still havent forgiven him.

Wow Rusty, those are some really nice fish. I know waht you mean about the Gfish that do not "make the cut." My lionheads would be considered inferior to those that have the big hoods over their heads. But I like mine better cuz they do not get the infections that so many hooded GFs like orandas, get.

Lindsay, I have seen those dwarf puffers and I was even thinking of getting one at my friend's store, they are so cool lookin.

Led, Mr. Mouth bites my boyfriend almost daily while he's feeding them. You think he'd learn and be more careful, but everytime he feeds him I hear him emit a loud "Ow!"

I forgot, I also have a betta in our kitchen on the counter, he is over 2 years old. He's just like yours Rusty, but with a little blue-ish tint.

The Oscars are more my boyfriend's, and the goldfish are mine. I have a 55g tank, and a 40-tall that also houses my clawed frogs, which do not harm the lerger gfish but will eat feeders I put in. The Oscars are in a 125 that could double as a bathtub, if you didn't mind your toes getting bitten

Hey Gin, those "hoods" are called wens
I used to have a huge orange/white oranda but he just died suddenly. He was alive when I left for school and was dead at the bottom when I got home, only a few hours. I don't know what it was, my other two ryukins are fine, and they are about 5-6 years old and 7-8 inches long. I love Lionheads, they are just so "puppy-faced". So cute. There are a couple of breeders I would like to buy from, but they are SOOO expensive, but the fish are gorgeous and H-U-G-E. Anyway, enough about my goofy fish...

    another close to perfect!!

I have seen fancy goldfish, such as lionheads and orandas, going for hundreds of dollars each. There was a site with GF auctions on it but I think they shut down because I can't find them anywhere.
