Fight to stop ivory poching in New York.

As you all know, ivory poching is big business, but a group on the east coast took a stand, and, in the middle of time square, in New york city, crushed over a ton of illeagle ivory to dust. The ivory wasall confiscated from stores between NY and Philadelphia, where the sale of ivory is illeagle.

If you've seen the pictures and were following the african adventure undertaken by one of the members here, you'll remember the horrific pictures and story of the poached rhino. I am posting this to let you know that there are people who do care. So all you guys who were there, don't give up. Doing this in the middle of the city was a great decision, cause it made every news channel during the prime news time of 5 pm. They not only talked about the plite of the elephants. but of the rhinos. So, lets all support the effort by not buying ivory products, and if you know the sale of ivory is banned in your area report anyone selling it, even if its just a little piece, cause those little pieces came from a big piece.

Thanks, and I will be on the lookout! I live in N.Y.C. unfortunately.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

How would we know if ivory is illegal to sell in our area? Is there some kind of site that would show where it's banned and where it's not?

You can sell all the ivory you want to. As long as you can prove it is at least 100 yrs old if it has crossed state lines.
If it has remained within your your state, then you must prove that it is at least 50 years old.

The key is, don't buy it unless the seller provides valid documentation.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
