    Mouse to old to breed?

Okay, so there's a person with free female mice by me. They are around 9 months old. Is this too old for a first litter? Thanks!

Not too old per se, but odds are you won't have babies. I've had several 9-11 month old females have litters, but more often than not they don't.

If it's a first litter, of a pet / feeder quality mouse, then no.

    Just find fresh mice.
