First Feed Success!
Vincent took his first meal at home today! :D So exciting! Weaned mouse, fresh killed. It took him a couple tries to figure out how to fit it in his face, but I couldn't be more pleased - I'm doing it right! Now I just have to sit tight and wait until I can handle him. The anticipation.

Congrats! Is this his first attempt to feed while you have had him?

Yep! We were told the date of his last feed while he was living at the shop, and decided to stretch it out to 10 days instead of a week (they were on a 10 day sched. with the group of little guys anyway), but now that he's here we're going to try and feed him weekly. Might work, might not... but I'm just so excited for him to grow!

Re: First Feed Success!
That's awesome!
The first time we fed our female BCC, she took a solid half hour or so shoving her nose into it and biting it in various places before finally getting it in her face hole. Lol

It really is a great feeling when they eat in their new home for the first time. I adopted a vanilla last Saturday and she ate for the first time for me yesterday. Friday is feeding day for me so it was great having both my girls eat. A Med rat for my almost 1 yr old bp and a little Hopper for Apple(the vanilla). I will be switching over to rats once she has eaten another time or two here for me. Congrats on your first feeding.

LOL!! Yeah, he wasn't figuring it out at first and I was getting discouraged, but I guess he just needed a couple minutes to orient himself correctly!
