adult BCI feeding

well there is many factor that can be different youll just have to find out when hes full grown!

My friend feeds her adult female BCl on jumbo rats (f/t.) She feeds about once every two weeks; just puts the thawed rat in the tank as she's closing up her pet store, and in the morning the rat's gone. This feeding schedule maintains the boa at a good weight.

It all really depends really on the BCI. But you should be able to feed him on either 2 large or 2 jumbo rats every 2 weeks or you could switch over to small rabbits. rabbits would be more cost effective for most people. When i had my large burm he was eating 3 large rats every 2 weeks untill i switched him to rabbits. i was paying $18 for the 3 rats and $10 for the rabbit.

My friend only feeds one rat at a time. But they are huge rats that I call "mutant" rats; never saw rats get as big as these things.
Her snake is actually only around 8 feet (I got a closer look at it yesterday.) So she is probably not yet fully grown.

She is such an awesome snake; never acts like she's going to bite anyone. She never even strikes; she just scoops the rat off of the cage floor overnight. But when you have her out, she does get curious! She is always trying to get up in the rafters of the shop (it's in an old, renovated barn.) And she loves to suddenly snap her head up and over your shoulders and try to get to the person you're standing next to!
I hope so badly that Apache, my little 4-footer, grows up to be so gentle and awesome of a snake.

I would definitely wait until she is bigger to try to make your decision. Its kinda hard to tell right now if you are going to have a giant, averaged sized, or small adult BCI. If the rats you are able to obtain are a good size for her as an adult, then why worry about rabbits at all?
