Just wanted to let everyone know, after 3 days, my geckos are finally eating an playing!!! In fact, I opened the cage, and the standoffish one, the flame, he jumped up and started licking my finger. He then proceeded to climb and jump all over my hand. I could hardly get him back in the cage, when I did, the started climbing on everything. The regular was just chilling in the cricket dish. Also, one of them looked at me and burped. Or at least that's what it looked/ sounded like. I don't know if that's what it actually was, but I had just seen him gobble up a cricket. My geckos are happy woohoo!!! Sorry for the long post, I don't know if these are allowed on here, but I just wanted to share after my three days of freak out on the forum.
-This has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way-

Celebratory and/or paragraph-length posts are definitely allowed on here, even welcomed. It seems the flame may have started associating your hand with food, which is a good sign. He should get a gold star! Glad to hear they're settling in for you. They're fun to watch and interact with.

Good for you! I have yet to see them eat crickets. (or eat from the food dish, but I think they are..I have crestie p00 so they are eating). They will do the food lick. Oddly enough Swami takes to being handled easier than Dreki, but she is more resistant to beng handled..she's probably still settleing in, and I wanted to check her out with a magifying glass..which she obliged by leaping on it and hanging on it for a while.
