my cresty is not active,not even at night.last night i stayed up till 1 to watch him,but he never came out!is this normal for new cresties?

You sat around in the dark and watched him right? They hide a lot and sleep during the day. If you had a main light on, your crested gecko is going to act like it's daytime.
Also, you just brought him home, give him some time to settle in. Sometimes if you're there or you're making a lot of noise they'll freeze and hide.

the cutest thing happened today,i was cleaning the tank bcuz he left a present for me and then he jumped on my arm and cuddles up.
