Well, as suspected Dreki is indeed male.
I was going to go get him a cage mate (unsexed juvie) tomorrow at the WI show. (I think I live too close to reptile shows...and well..job offer means $ in the future).
I was going to get him a friend of comparable size. What I'm wondering now is if I need to move Dreki into a seperate cage until the unsexed guys give me an indication of sex and then introduce (provided female)? Can I intro a new unsexed friend, or should I pick up a sexed female?
EDIT: Dreki is only about 12 grams in weight, so he's not ready to breed yet..to avoid any possible early breedings, should I just seperate him out?

You can intro an unsexed friend, but if they seem hostile it's a good chance that the new one will grow overnight cresticles too. You might want to try either to get a little smaller one or a definite female, because female shouldn't be any trouble and smaller may take a while to start the male hormones even if it is a male, so it would improve your odds of being able to house together.

would they fight if you put two together?

Two males would definately fight and have problems in the cage I've got bpkid. Generally males housed together will fight. It has been proven otherwise, BUT ONLY when there was a huge amount of space for them..and I think the males were housed together as babies.
So basically NO housing males together.

Males usually start to develop the hemipenal bulges at 4 to 6 months but some may take longer.

i swear i saw cresticles on meenie last night, but seeing as how he/she is only about 12 weeks old, i'm probably just being facetious. and i'm wanting him to be a boy, so of course i'm looking a little harder for any tiny indications.

Thanks, TG. I thought it had a better 'ring' to it than "hemipenal bulge" or "preanal bulge."
