    Rack and thermostat question

Hey guys and gals, Do you think it is safe to plug a rack that has a two pronged plug into a thermostat that has a three pronged female port? The rack is a v70 3 tub and the thermostat is a herpstat 4? Any feedback is helpful. Thanks.

Yes there are no problems there. All my heat tape is wired to regular white walmart extension cord that is 2 prong. I guess they do that as a feature if you wanted to use a heating device that did use 3 prong.

I had it in my head that if you go with three prongs you heat system would not work correctly. Any Input on that?

I just spoke to the maker of the rack and he confirmed that there was absolutely no safety issue with the two prong going into a three pronged receiving outlet. Better safe than guessing!
