Am I Feeding My Ball Python Enough

I've been feeding my young ball python (don't know her age i just know she is a 2014 captive bread snake from LLLReptile) one small mouse every Sunday. But I feel she looks a little skinny. Am I feeding her enough? (the music in the video is just there for dramatic effect )

Re: Am I Feeding My Ball Python Enough

    Hi,

I'd say she could take the next size up in mice easily enough - but if you want to increase feeding in the short term why not feed her every 5 days?

Her body condition looks fine to me though.

Pretty much just feed her a mouse or rat that is as wide as the widest part of the snake at the widest part of the rat(usually the back hips). If you got a scale, just weigh out a 10-20% sized mouse or rat. I fed my girl every 3-4 days a 10-20% rat until she hit around 433g. Then she went on a once a week feeding of a weaned/small rat. of course she is always hungry still and usually by the fourth day she is out looking for a rat again.
