it doesn't hold the humidity as well as bark but you may be able to use the carpet and mist the enclosure several times a day to keep it at a good level.

If you are going to switch to the repti carpet, you might have to find other ways to control the humidity. A bigger waterbowl, misting, and playing around with the amount of screen top you leave uncovered are just a couple of ways to increase your humidity. The only real way to be certain how much it will affect it is just to try it.

I can agree with similiar materials not holding moisture. However I am using a similiar product called ESU Terrarium liner in my tubs. Its great lasts a long time and washes pretty easily. I would say it depends on your enclosure and the room you keep your animals in. I keep my snakes in tubs, which as we know is huge bonus humidity wise and the room itself stays around 50% humidity or above suprisingly so it works for me. You just have to see what works. I have found a place online that sells the stuff I use very cheap and have strictly been ordering from them since I found them. It would be worth the few dollars to try it.

I use repticarpet! i put the waterbowl on the heatpad, i use the diy humidifier, and i have alot of fake plants. I also put a towel on the screen top and this helps me control it cuz all i gto to do is change how much covers the top!

i used to use it but went back to newspaper becuase although cleaning it isnt really "hard" its not as easy as just taking the paper out, tossing it and then putting some new newspaper in there.

I think it holds humidity pretty well actually, i never had a problem with it.
