here are pics of the two cresties i picked up at the greenville show.

this one is 8 weeks old and its color varies from light tan to dark orangey-brown. its a fiesty little one--tried to bite the breeder when he pulled it out of its hiding spot to show it to me--as if its little mouth is big enough!

this one is a 6 week old flame morph. the first pic shows its lightest coloration (that i have seen so far). the second pic is the same photo but i altered the color to show how it looked earlier in the evening.

i am amazed at how much they can change color. i didn't realize it was quite so drastic! both little ones chowed down on crickets last night--they are so cute when they hunt.

Aren't they cute when they hunt? I love that! I was quite surprised by how much they can change color, too, and you'll be surprised again most likely when they change more in a few months. My Scooby has recently gotten much darker in her evening coloration. Congrats on your new buddies!

So since you have eenie and meenie, you're going to name one of the new ones, moe, right?

the two in the pics are eenie (bottom pics) and meenie(top pic--and i spelled it "meenie" instead of "meanie" cuz he's not "mean" ) and yes, i have plans for a future miney and moe.

eenie, meenie, miney, moe, catch a gecko by the toe.

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

Doesn't sound like she forgot miney to me! Cresties should come in pairs, like shoes.
