*Digs out of the day gecko book*
I believe day geckos have roughly the same diet requirements. They also eat fruit, crickets etc. Day geckos can have a problem with the chitin of mealworms if given, though. Apparently the chitin can lead to impactions. Day geckos are more of a pollen and nectar eating gecko.
Gargoyle Geckos have basically the same diet requirements as cresties, but they eat more insects, according to the species complete guide book

Hmmmm, I guess I was of the thinking that the other Rhacs needed a lot more insects than fruit - like they were fed mainly insects.

well its a "similar" diet .. and cresteds should not be fed a diet of fruit alone.. some people may get by with doing this .. but IMO its not a proper diet

Actually, from what I remember with the Gargoyles, you just feed them insects twice a week instead of once. And they still get fruit and everything.

basically that is an outline of "someones prefered" feeding regimen what works for them... I hardly think a gargoyle in the wild is going to pass on a fat juicy bug because its "tuesday" " feed them what they will eat and what works best for you in your specific situation..... care sheets are a basic ... very basic guideline to go by

Yeah, I was basically quoting a passage in the Vosji book from memory.
Obviously, if a super yummy treat walk by the gecko in the wild, it's going to eat it.

Unless it's a spider in my living room. Apparently that is easily turn-downable, even if it plops right in front of your gecko face on the couch, because you know you can hold out for crickets. Robert, is "no bugs on Tuesday" like "no meat on Friday"?
