Re: My DIY enclosure for my Bredli.

My last post was probably the last time I was able to work on my enclosure. I have been able to finally work on it the last 2 weeks.

I had to do a bunch of sanding on the front and I stained the back to try out the stain I am using. I have since stained the rest. The front looks good but the expansion section does not match the original. It is darker due to the wood being different. It is not the greatest but since I am way behind, it will have to do.

I have figured out how I want to use the drawers as a fake front with the ability to see through the middle part of each drawer front. I have the center cut out on 2 of the drawers. The other 2 may or may not have the center cut out depending on how the floor turns out.

Hopefully soon I will start gluing in Styrofoam to form my canyon walls. I am thinking about adding wood shelves that will be a part of the walls to form ledges.

I love your choice of background.

    Looking forward to your progress.

Id fibreglass the inside, strips and resin, not tiger hair. 100% sealed. Good for water features. No worries of pee or dookie ruining or eventually soaking the wood. Humidity will never bother it....

Re: My DIY enclosure for my Bredli.

Summer has made it and given me time to work on this some more. I have got slot of Styrofoam glued in. I plan to add some more then shape it.

It is spring break so I was able to apply a coat to the rock. 2 coats down, 2-4 more to go. I hope to get the rest of the coats done along with the floor so I can finish this thing!

Re: My DIY enclosure for my Bredli.

It is about 33 inches deep. I can't remember the width but 2 adults can stand inside and it is about 6 foot tall.
