    Reduced pattern?

    I just joined a Facebook group for pythons and to say thanks for the add I posted a pic of my Ralph, someone commented with "nice reduced pattern"
    My guess was that this just means he's a normal, but with a reduced pattern. Is that right? How does the reduced pattern come about? Just wanna know more about my snakey (:



    This is him. Thoughts? (other than what a handsome young man he is, of course!)

    Just a normal but he has an amazing reduced pattern which may or may not be genetic

    This means the pattern is reduced versus being busy.

    I would call it a black back (still normal, may or may not be genetic)

    Some reduced pattern can be genetic but there is only one way to prove it.
