    Ignorance

    I inquired about a Red Tail Boa that is on my local craigslist. I asked about his age, how long the owner has had him, feeding schedule etc. He looks like a full grown Boa. Here's the response;

    What? I can imagine someone being that ignorant about an animal. I would ask the person to contact you directly and see if this is legit. If it's truly 8 months old you might be able to get it back on a feeding schedule and in good health.

    Re: Ignorance

    I'm pretty sure it's legit. I didn't ask about the size of the rats or mice being fed to him. There's been several correspondence with this person. I'd post a pic of the snake but it's also a pic of the owner. I think I'm going to pass on this guy. I'd be too worried about health issues plus I enjoy watching a snake grow from hatchling size (at a normal, healthy rate)

    Re: Ignorance

    The other possibility (and I feel this one is probably closer to the truth) is that this animal is being flipped - it was either stolen or is being sold by someone who got it free/cheap and is looking to make a buck. According to this person, this snake is eating 3 times a day... a completely ignorant statement. I really don't feel like that can even be possible. Even voracious boas will refuse food once they're stuffed full or sick, which they would be on this schedule.
