Where are we when we are online?
hi,
need advice on the best method to kill rats/mice.
no one sells prekilled in my area, only live. i normally put it in a cloth bag and whack it on a hard surface. i dont have any problems but just wondering of other methods that might be used by others.
thanks.

a gas chamber ( cooler and some dry ice, close the rats in that and wait like 10 minutes)
pin their head down with something hard and a quick jerk up on the tail breaks their neck.
But people prefer the gas chamber its less hands on involvement and seems to be more humane

yeah i've been wondering the same thing....Kurtz loves gerbils (yeah i know, i know) but i can't find frozen ones...and i can't get into killing by whacking but CO2 seems like a good way to go..i'm sure if you asked the rodent it's what he would choose. But where to i get the dry ice or CO2?

There's a gread Stick at the top of this fourm that FourFeathers put together about building your own C02 chamber. That would be the way i'd go if i wasn't feeding f/t.

if you want to use dry ice you can get it from somewhere like baskin robbins.
